Tuning in - Emotional Visualization
Tuning in is a project created by graphic designer Kaia Jo Esposito-Schultz that offers a unique perspective on emotional visualization and challenges the traditional classifications of emotions.
The project seeks to move away from the classic binary classifications of good or bad that are often imposed on emotions, and instead presents them as a spectrum.
Sand Cymatics are used to visualize the emotions based on the Hawkins scale, which creates unique and intricate patterns that capture the essence of each emotion.
The visualizations produced by the project are designed to provide a more comprehensive and nuanced understanding of our emotions, encouraging viewers to appreciate the full spectrum of emotions rather than avoiding “bad” emotions. Through this approach, the project aims to help people gain a deeper understanding of their own emotions and connect with others on a more empathetic level.
All emotions are necessary.
